One thing I love about scrapping...

sometimes when you are in a bad mood, you can go find a picture that make you feel happy, and just by making the page, your mood lifts. I try to include honest journaling because life is not always sticky sweet and I want to remember all the feelings...not just the good ones. Honesty is the best policy.

She is such a pack rat!

Well, the journaling on the page pretty much explains it all...! Kira has her way of doing things and you BETTER not try to change it! Hmmm...I wonder where she gets that from...! LOL!

My secret...

at least it's not a dirty secret! LOL! Nope...my big secret is I am not afraid to pull out the Game Boys when I need the kids to be occupied for a car ride, so I can make dinner, go to the bathroom...!

Pizza!

Whenever I can, I make Peale make his pizza. He must do somethin' weird or have some special magic that can make perfect pizza, cuz it is SO yummy! It is the one dinner that all the kids will eat...even Riley! It's so good, I had to scrap it!

Dinner Party freebie kit from Shabby Princess.

2 Riley funnies!

So, Riley's talking is getting MUCH better...here are two hysterical things he came up with just in the last few hours!

Riley: Mama...I want a new Kiki.
Mom: Why?
Riley: Her hands are cold!

Daddy: Who threw out their pizza after only 2 bites?!?
Slayton: Riley!
Daddy: Riley! You threw out your pizza after taking only 2 bites?!?
Riley: No!! I took 4 bites!

LOL!

It's gonna be a LONG weekend!

We are stuck in the house because it is like 8 degrees outside and snowing. All 5 of us in our little house are going to get stir-crazy VERY quickly! Hmmm...maybe this will be a great time to do some scrapping! : )

It's the season for...

ear infections! Kiki was up between 1 and 5 this morning! Argh! She has a 1:30 Dr. appt. today to see if it is our old friend, Mr. Ear Infection. She hasn't had one yet this year, but had constant ones last year. I was hoping we were over them, but, alas, I don't think so.

Riley and me.

I found this picture while I was looking thru some of our older photos. Riley was only 7 months old! It's so funny to look back and see them so small! Especially since he is a big 4 year old now who runs around and plays Game Boy!

One last layout for the day...

Here are some soccer pictures from this fall. Slayton has talked about soccer ever since he knew what it was. We thought he was mature enough in Kindergarten to play, and he did great! He was on the 'brown' team and they won many of their games (even though they didn't officially keep score!).

Reasons I LOVE digiscrapping!

So, I was just sitting here shopping for digital stuff and while I was I was thinking of all the reasons I am SO glad I have gone completely digital with my scrapping. Here are my reasons!

1. I don't have to have my pictures developed. I can take a picture and scrap it 2 minuted later! I can make the picture HUGE or tiny, depending on what I want on my layout.

2. Free shipping! Since digital products are downloaded, there are NO shipping costs!

3. Along with the download perk, I can play with my new toys right away! Woo Hoo! No waiting for Mr. Brown!

4. I have my bedroom back! Since all my digi stuff is contained on the computer, I don't have to have all my crap in the corner of my bedroom.

5. Digital products can be used over and over. I can buy one kit and use it 1000's of times. Unlike paper scrapping, I will never use up my brads!

6. No more messy journaling! Since I can use cute fonts, my journaling is no longer crooked and full of typos!

7. Sharing. I can email and post my creations instantly. No more having to scan them or create duplicates to share my work.

8. No more itty bitty pieces of cardstock and paper to clean up. I can't tell you how many scraps I have found all over the house.

9. Freebies! There are tons of freebies out there. I love being able to try out a designer's work before buying.

10. Endless possibilities! I can recolor, resize, alter, and 'fix' any element to match my page perfectly.

I'm sure I will think of more reasons later, but I have to run over to SCS...I'm a hostess for VSBN!

Today's accomplishments!

Other than being completely lazy and not even changing out of my jammies...I have gotten 2 pages done today! These were pictures of Kiki that I took this past week and wanted to get scrapped before I forgot the details.

There are some days when Kira fights her nap so hard that she falls asleep just a little while before we have to go pick up her brothers. Well, that's what she did on this day, so she was still sleeping when we had to leave. I went in to wake her up and she was all curled up and she must have been trying to take her shirt off because her arm was out of her sleeve. I just thought she looked so cute all snuggled up.

Yup, she was wearing his undies. The first time she was wearing them, she had them on with her waist through one leg of the underwear. She took them off before I got a chance to take a picture, but she insisted on putting them back on, so I got the chance to snap a few photos.

Elmo from Uncle Scott!

Uncle Scott doesn't get to see the kids regularly, but he still does a GREAT job with Christmas presents! He got Kiki a Hokey-Pokey Elmo this year. She LOVES the darn thing! She calls him 'uh-oh' (super cute!). She takes him to bed, has to have him sitting on the table when she eats, and insists on taking him whenever we leave the house. I think I need to get her a more 'portable' Elmo for our outings!

Celebrate Life Collaboration kit available at www.acherryontop.com

Wow! I have been lazy...

about updating my blog! I have been scrapping, so here are some pages I have done...

We pretty much live at the town pool during the summer. They have a kiddie pool area that is fenced in and has a littel water park. I can let Kiki and Riley run wild there while Slayton swims in the big pool with his friends. It is perfect. I can even sit on the edge of the kiddie pool and work on my freckles! LOL!

This is a cute picture of the 'real' Riley. SO hard to get a serious picture of him!

Fun in the Sun kit is designed by Laura Judd and available at www.scraptitude.com

I really wanted to do a page that recorded Kira's progress with language, so here it is! She is coming along very nicely. We are very proud of her. On a side note, Riley's language is getting better everyday! We had an IEP team meeting and everyone is SO proud of him. They are even starting to back off the 1:1 a little to see how he will do!

Pinky Boo kit designed by Fee Jardine and available at www.thedigichick.com

The kids were just wrestling the other day and it turned in to a hug session, so I had to grab my camera. Kira really loves her brothers! She will just randomly go up to them and demand hugs and give them kisses. They like to pretend she bugs them, but we all know they love it!

Family Ties kit available at www.sweetshoppedesigns.com

When I saw these pictures of Christmas, they instantly made me think of looting, so hence the title! The kids had such a great time opening their presents this year, everyone was really into it!

January kit available at www.sweetshoppedesigns.com

I got the idea for this page as I was sitting on Kiki's bedroom floor playing with her. I was looking around and was shocked by the sheer amount of 'girly' stuff that has been added to our house in the last 20 months! I grabbed the camera and started taking pictures of all the 'evidence'! LOL!

Just a couple layouts...

Just a few more layouts to keep the site updated! I haven't gotten to scrap much in the last few days, but I will tomorrow while Kiki naps!
